I want to do this post to update everyone on our happenings before my next post for Daniel's 9th birthday!
So, what have we been up to?
We have been exploring our neighborhood and really enjoying it.
There is a park about a mile away from our house that we walk to and the boys enjoy tremendously!
Our house is also about a mile and a half away from a "boat landing" on the Ochlockonee river that we like to take the boys too. We have to get fishing poles for everyone and extra bug spray and then we will be ready for a summer on the river banks!
We have also been enjoying the newest members of our family:
Meet Lady and Katie! They are 7 year old bassett hounds that we adopted from a local rescue. They have been together since birth and their owner passed away last fall. We could not bear the thought of seperating them. They are mixing well with our family and are spoiled rotten.
Allen and I enjoyed a belated - Valentine's date at Painting with a Twist:
We went for the Vera Bradley Breast Cancer fund raiser night and we had a great time. Can't wait to go back!
Allen is trying to re-break a new pony:
I think it has been more fun for the audience than Allen and Frosty.....
We have been resting:
I love the way kids sleep! They crack me up. I am going to have an entire photo album dedicated to my children sleeping....
And we spent a lot of time helping Connor be as comfortable and happy as possible while he was on so many meds:
This included wearing spiderman slippers for and ENTIRE weekend... to the grocery store, out to dinner, to bed, to play, everywhere. But, sometimes you just have to do whatever helps when the little ones are miserable.
So, that is about all we have been up to. Stay tuned for tomorrow for Daniel's birthday post!

Oh My!
It has been over 2 months since I blogged. I am so sorry! So, I will update you on the last 2 months of our lives...
Daniel has been going through a lot so we have been pretty busy with him. His real father is moving away and he is struggling..... if anyone has had to deal with this with a child and has any advice, please let me know. He has been doing well in school and in karate. He is a "Multiplication Master" which makes his math nerd mom very proud!
Connor has been sick. We finally got an appointment with a pediatric respiratory/allergy specialist. We found out that Connor has chronic sinusitis which has caused mild asthma. He also has exzema. All of this has been going on and he has not been able to get better. So, for the past month we have been doing medicines, nasal sprays, inhalers and skin creams religously. Hopefully another month and he will be healed enough to just do the inhaler and skin cream. Other than that, he loves to sing and he can count to 20! Still no colors those..... everything is yellow.
Allen has been working a lot. Over 40 hours every week for a month or more. He is also being rotating between stores where they are short employees. So he is busy.
I have been working and working.
We have all been really busy and to be honest, nothing exciting has really happened.
But...... there are things that are coming up!
Next weekend, we are taking the boys to Sea World for Daniel's birthday and then going to visit my grandma and some uncles, aunts and cousins. Very very excited!
Then, in April, Daniel and I are going on an adventure to Jacksonville to watch (maybe participate) a karate tournament . Thats exciting too!
So, soon we will be back with tons of pictures and stories from our adventures!
Sorry I have been away for so long!
