Connor is 3!

Last Saturday was Connor's 3rd birthday!  Hard to believe that my littlest man is already 3.  Officially not a baby anymore.

His stats:

weighs 38.5 pounds
is about 3 feet tall
he loves pizza, apple juice, mickey mouse, elmo (still), super "herios" and anything boy
he is taking his first gymnastics class and loves it
he is super sweet and a typical 3 year old at the same time... and at any time, he can switch from one to the other!

Since his birthday fell on the same day as the Florida State vs Miami game (again) and we spent most of our savings on an AC, car and washing machine this summer, we decided to have a low key affair at the house with our family.

Mickey Mouse birthday cake (he picked this out)

he was not a fan of us singing at all

his new Hot Wheels table

he decided Mickey was a much better utensil than a fork

We had a great night and Connor loved his birthday party!  I misplaced my camera several times throughout the evening, so I did not get that many pictures.... didnt even get one with me and the birthday boy!

I am a proud mama... he is a true blessing and I am lucky to call Connor my son!

Siblings and Pumpkin Festival

Daniel has 2 brothers and 1 sister (who is exactly like him).  His older little brother and sister came from his daddy.  Since his dad moved away, their mom and I have tried to keep their relationship strong by getting together once a month or so and doing something so the kids can run and play and just have fun.  This time we went back to the Jr Muesam.  The kids love it and it seems that we picked a perfect time because nobody was there.
This is my favorite picture of the four of them together!

I love watching these guys play together.  I am thrilled that we can do this for them.  Lailani and Gideon have also seemed to "adopt" Connor into the clan which is so much fun to me.  They are a great group of kids and even though they have been handed something that is not so easy to deal with, they are doing great!

This past weekend was the Havana Pumpkin Festival.  This is my 4th year going and it was just as fun as normal.  We did not stay as long as normal though and I do not really know why.  But, we had fun anyways.

That was Hawian Punch all over Connor by the way!  We walked around with Rhonda and Naomi and looked at things and had a good relaxing (haha) day.

Next Saturday is Connor's 3rd birthday and birthday party.  I am having a hard time wrapping my head around the idea that he will be three..... My little man is not so little anymore.  And, he is 100% boy.

New Job

Sorry it has been a little while again.  I know.... same old story.

About a month ago, I got some news regarding my job at Score and decided that it was time for me to look out into the world and see what I could find.  I sent my resume off to a few different places.  The first place to respond back to me was the Florida Bar.  I went in for an interview and within a couple of days, they offered me the position.  Then, I went into some contract negotiations with Score, but decided that this new endeavor would be best for me.  So, I am now in the fiscal/accounting department at the Florida Bar.  I am super excited about all of the possibilities that are ahead of me.  I am also excited about learning new things and expanding my accounting knowledge.  I started last Monday and so far so good!

Meanwhile.... after I turned in my resignation at Score, my little Connor came down with a "virus."  He was so so sick... I have not seen him that sick since he had surgery at 8 weeks.  He had a fever for 5 days, would not eat, could not sleep and just looked horrible.  After 4 trips to the doctor, with them telling me it was just a virus, I finally convinced them that it had to be more. So, they did some tests and we are still waiting on those results.  He is better now, but still not 100%.  We are getting there, though.

So, that has been the last 3 weeks of my life.  Busy busy and things happening at the worst times.

This weekend is the pumpkin festival in Havana, and I am excited to go!  I have taken Daniel for the past 4 years, and Connor went with me starting a week before he was born.

That is it for now, and hopefully next week I will have a fun post with pictures!

Have a great weekend!
