Lately he has been having a really hard time with circumstances that are unfortunate and totally beyond his control. And as his mom, my heart is broken. I cannot do anything about it. I have to watch him suffer and hold him while he cries and try to convince him that everything is going to be okay.
It takes a lot of courage to face what he has faced and put a brave face on and push through the way he has. More courage than I have for sure.
Daniel is not an extremely athletic kid. But, last weekend he put on his brave face and did a triathlon. He was awesome. He had to have a swim buddy to help him with the swim, he crashed on his bike, and he still took off his helmet and ran. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

Daniel is the most amazing, coolest kid ever. And not just because I am his mama. He really really is. He has overcome things that us adults would curl up and cry about. I love this kid. And I pray everyday that he gets the peace and happiness that he so truely deserves. Allen and I are working so hard to do the best we can to get him through things and its looking better and better everyday.
One second, one minute, one step, one day at a time.
I love you my bubby!
