Saturday we got up and spent some time with the animals that live at Chuck's house.
They have chickens, cows, cats and dogs. The boys liked the chickens the best because they could hold them and chase them. My mom is trying to convince me to get chickens for pets. No. Not going to happen. Unless we have a home with a ton of land. And someone other than me will take care of them....
We then went to visit my grandma and take her to lunch. She lives in an assisted living facility in Parrish, FL.
This summer she will be celebrating her 90th birthday. See how tall Daniel is? Connor is hilarious.... we told him that you have to be careful with great grandma because she breaks easy. So, he always keeps a little distance between himself and her.
After lunch, we headed to St Pete. My mom and I were running in the Women's Half Marathon (mom) and 5K (me). The race was Sunday, but we had to pick up our packets Saturday.
It was so beautiful there. We got fancy coffee and treats and sat at a fancy hotel and ate them. It is nice to pretend sometimes ;).
Sunday morning, my mom and I got up way too early and went to the race. We both finished and did pretty good. Granted it was really windy and FREEZING! After the race, we went and visited my grandma one more time, and then headed to Orlando!
Once we got to Orlando, we checked into our hotel went grocery shopping, ate, then headed to bed.
We woke up Monday and headed to Disney! Oh man, we were all so so excited.
I will let the pictures tell the story!
The entrance
On the ferry to the Magic Kingdom!
Once we got inside, they were about to start a parade. And there he was... Connor's favorite! Mickey Mouse!
I was really wanting this to be a nice picture.... I will keep dreaming.
Robinson's family tree house
Magic Carpet Ride
Waiting for Pirates of the Caribbean.... Connor was not a fan

Connor at the end of the night
We had the whole next day to hang out in Orlando still. What could beat Disney, though?
We found some more fun things to do. First, Pirate Golf. (this seems to be a Smith family vacation staple)
After golf, lunch and a nap, we wanted more fun. This place called Fun Stop was within walking distance of our hotel so we went. It was so so much fun!
It was like a mini fair (without the nasty food and cheap games). And, there were hardly any people, so we never had to wait in line. The kids laughed the whole time and ran from ride to ride. So much fun!
We ended out trip with a date night to Dave and Busters. Allen and I had never been before, so we were excited when mom offered to watch the boys for us so we could go.
We had such an amazing family vacation! The boys did great on the car rides, everyone got along, and everyone had a blast.
We got home Wednesday afternoon and ran around like crazy trying to get ready for Thanksgiving that we were having at OUR house. (by the way, I will NEVER end a vacation the day before hosting anything at my house)(and I would NOT recommend it to anyone).
I did not take any pictures Thanksgiving. I sat and ate and enjoyed my family and friends.
Christmas is coming! Expect some Christmas themed posts in the near future (hopefully)
